Overlays, CTA and lead forms
Add full-screen messages, buttons and forms to turn viewers into leads.
An overlay step covers the screen with a message. Use it for an intro, a section break, or a form that asks for the viewer's details.
Create an overlay step
Open a step's menu (⋮) in the steps panel and click Convert to overlay step. The recorded screen stays in the background.
An overlay has a title and a description. You can add buttons and form fields below them.
Buttons
Click Add Button and set:
- Style. Primary or Secondary.
- Label. The text on the button.
- Redirect URL. Where the button goes. Leave it empty to continue the demo.
- Require form submission. The button checks the required fields and submits the form, then redirects or continues. When it's off, the button skips the form.
Lead forms
Click Add Form Field to ask for:
- Name
- Phone
- Company
- Country
- Opt-in Checkbox
Each field can be added once. Make each field required or optional, and drag to reorder them. If a form has fields, at least one button has to submit it.
In the opt-in text, write links as [label](https://…), for example to link to your privacy policy.
When a viewer submits the form, they see Thank you!, and the submission appears in Leads.
The CTA step
Every demo ends with a CTA step, marked CTA in the steps panel. Out of the box it says Ready to get started?, asks for a name and email, and has a Get Started button. Change the text, fields and button like any other overlay.
To change the screen behind it, use Choose a screen for the CTA background and pick one of your steps.
Tip
Point the CTA button at a booking page or your sign-up page. Viewers who finish a demo are ready for the next step.
