Free trial
Every new workspace starts with a 7-day free trial. No credit card needed.
- The trial includes Pro features, except integrations and custom domains.
- Finish the getting-started checklist (install the extension, record a demo, edit it and publish it) to unlock 7 extra days. An admin clicks Claim +7 days on the checklist.
- The trial has lower monthly limits. See Limits.
When the trial ends without a plan, your workspace becomes read-only. You can still sign in and see your demos, but you can't edit or record. Share links and embeds stop working until you choose a plan. Nothing is deleted.

Change your plan
Admins go to Settings → Billing. Choose Monthly or Yearly (20% off) and pick a plan.
Click Open billing portal to change your payment method, download invoices or cancel.
Moving from Pro to Starter
A downgrade takes effect right away. Pro-only features are switched off:
- Collections above the Starter limit are locked and set to private. They're not deleted.
- Passwords are removed from demos and collections, so protected demos open for anyone with the link. Check which demos were protected before you downgrade.
- Custom domains are disconnected. Links go back to
share.peutly.com. - Custom themes on demos and collections go back to the global settings. The custom favicon is removed.
- Exports go back to 720p without annotations.
- Webhooks and lead emails are switched off. Your webhook URLs are kept. Google Analytics, Heap and Segment keys are removed, so you'll enter them again if you upgrade.
- Roles: Starter has no roles. Editors are changed to admins and deactivated. Reactivate them in Settings → Team.
- Access control settings, like Organization only and allowed embed domains, stay in effect but can't be changed on Starter.
Payment problems
If a payment fails, you have 7 days to fix it in the billing portal. After that, the workspace becomes read-only until the payment goes through. Your demos and settings are kept.
