Steps
Reorder, duplicate, convert, insert and delete the steps of a demo.
Each click you recorded becomes a step. The steps panel on the left lists them in order.
Reorder steps
Drag a step by its handle (the arrows icon) to move it up or down.
Step options
Open a step's menu (⋮) for:
- Duplicate step. Makes a copy right after it. Handy to show the same screen twice with different annotations.
- Convert to overlay step. Turns the step into a full-screen message with a title, text, buttons or a form. See Overlays and CTA.
- Convert to pointer step. Turns an overlay step back into a normal step with a hotspot.
To delete a step, click the trash icon on the step and confirm. A demo always keeps at least one step, and the CTA step can't be deleted.
Small icons on each step show what's set on it, like narration, zoom, UI edits, an annotation or auto-progress.
Insert a step
Select the step the new step should follow, then click Insert step at the bottom of the steps panel. You can add:
- From current demo. Reuse a step from this demo.
- From another demo. Pick one or more steps from another demo in your workspace.
- Add new. Upload an image as a step.
Adding new captured steps to an existing demo isn't available yet. To add clicks, record the missing part and insert its steps with From another demo.
